About the Artist

Michael Mazur was born in 1935 in New York. He was educated at Horace Mann, Amherst College and Yale School of Art and Architecture. Mazur had participated in hundreds of group and solo exhibitions nationally and abroad. His work is included in many major collections, such as The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, MOMA, The Whitney Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. He lived with his wife, poet Gail Mazur, in both Cambridge and Provincetown Massachusetts. The artist passed in August 2009.
