Danforth Art Museum Exhibitions

In October 2016, Danforth Art Museum relocated to its new home—the Jonathan Maynard Building on Framingham Centre Common. While the building was partially renovated for art studios, administrative offices, and curatorial storage, there are no museum galleries in the building at this time. As such, Danforth Art prepared travelling exhibitions, drawn entirely from the holdings of the Danforth Art Permanent Collection, to celebrate a unique, shared dialogue with partnering cultural and educational organizations in the region. We are grateful to the past and current exhibition partners including: the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA; North Hill in Needham, MA; and Endicott College in Beverly, MA, and the Worcester Art Museum. Exhibitions still on view are listed below.

PLEASE NOTE: Danforth Art Museum’s signature juried exhibitions—the Danforth Art Annual and The New England Photography Biennial—have been suspended until the organization is able to host those exhibitions in its own galleries. We remain committed to the discovery, promotion, and celebration of emerging and established artists from the region, and look forward to showcasing contemporary works from this community in the near future.
