Tours focus on the Danforth Museum's permanent collection of American Art, the Native American Collection, or on exciting temporary exhibitions. A Danforth Docent will meet your party at the entrance and facilitate your museum visit, with attention given to any special needs. The Danforth Museum of Art is handicapped accessible.
Most tours last one hour, and 6 - 45 persons can usually be accommodated for any one-hour time slot. Tours must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance. Fees: Adults/Seniors $8; Children $6; all museum members, $6. Fee includes museum admission.

The Danforth Museum of Art offers Tours and Tea to interested Seniors and Senior Groups. The program includes a docent-led tour, followed by tea, cookies, and informal discussion in the museum’s auditorium. Please call 508.620.0050 x23 for more information. Minimum of 8 visitors. Fees: Members, $6 per person; non-members, $10 per person. Fee includes museum admission.
Learn with your child! On these tours designed especially for families, a trained Teen Docent will ask open-ended questions that encourage conversation and reflection about the art. Tours will feature special exhibitions, including the Children’s Gallery. Perfect for families with children ages 5 - 10. Tours are offered on the first Sunday of the month, every half hour from 2 - 4 p.m., as part of the Danforth’s Drop into Art program. The Drop into Art program includes FREE admission, tours, and children’s workshops.
First Sunday Drop into Art programs take place the first Sunday of the month, 2 - 4 p.m., through June 2008.
