In support of this first annual Framingham Reads Together, the Danforth Museum of Art is proud to present an exhibition and programming by Susan Roth, co-author of Listen to the Wind, The Story of Dr. Greg and Three Cups of Tea. (learn more)

Susan L. Roth has illustrated thirty-seven books for children, many of which she has also written. Her books have received such awards as the New York Times Best Illustrated Books of the Year, the ABA Pick of the Lists, and the Boston Globe – Horn Book Award. She and her husband have three grown children and one grandchild. They live in New York City.
Come view the original, never before exhibited, colorful cut paper and fabric collage illustrations by Susan L. Roth, from the book, Listen to the Wind: The Story of Dr. Greg and Three Cups of Tea. The exhibition will be on view in the Danforth Museum of Art’s Children’s Gallery, located on the second floor of the Museum.
Listen to the Wind has been Number One on the New York Times Bestseller List for Children’s Books for 4 weeks in a row at press time. During the book’s official launch celebrating its publication date of January 22, 2009, the Young People’s Chorus of New York City™ performed the world premiere of Victoria Bond's piece written specifically for Listen to the Wind.

with Susan L. Roth, co-author with Greg Mortenson and illustrator of Listen to the Wind, The Story of Dr. Greg and Three Cups of Tea, and with Julia Bergman, Chair, Board of Directors, Central Asia Institute. This children's book vividly recounts Greg Mortenson's journey and decision to build schools in Pakistan.
This children's book, now #1 on the New York Times best sellers list. A children's workshop takes place concurrently (see below). The lecture is free with Museum admission.
