Surprise Inventory Exhibition at the Nielsen Gallery

Show opens Thursday, June 11, 2009
 Public Reception 4-7pm

After 46 years, the Nielsen Gallery will close its doors allowing owners Nina Nielsen and John Baker to begin a sabbatical. Nielsen Gallery has generously pledged a portion of all proceeds of the gallery's final sale to the Danforth Museum of Art!

"Nina Nielsen is one of America's most influential gallerists, whose support of contemporary artists and collectors has made a real difference to an on going conversation within the arts community.
She has a "great eye" and work by artists that she has represented during the course of her distinguished career now appears in the permanent collections of major museums, as well as in significant private collections throughout the world. I am honored to have worked with her in her role as Museum Trustee
and Chair of the Danforth Museum of Art's collection committee."
