The exhibit of Peter H. Reynolds’s work will showcase his original watercolors produced for his popular books, The Dot, Ish, The North Star, So Few of Me as well as those created for the Judy Moody and Fudge series. A sketchbook will be on view that the artist uses while his “popcorn-like” mind produces idea after idea. Another feature of the exhibition will be an “animation station,” a computer station with Reynolds’s Animation-Ish software which encourages one and all to “make their mark” while they design animated shorts. Visitors are also encouraged to create their own “dots” as inspired by Mr. Reynolds’s book, The Dot, and his philosophy that everyone has innate creativity and we all just need to start making a dot, sign our name to it, and proceed from there on a personal journey of artistic discovery.
