“Leo Landry was very young during the July 20, 1969 lunar landing, but the experience left a lasting impression upon him. Almost four decades later, Landry relives a version of the trip in his newly released “Space Boy,” a children’s book that speaks to the quiet adventurer in all of us.
“I love the moon and all things that go with it,” said Landry.
In the story, a young boy named Nicholas is unable to settle down to sleep with the noises of his world pressing in on him. His decision to take a break from the familiar, leads him to board his space ship and travel to the moon for a solitary picnic, where he is hampered only by the lack of gravity.His restless wanderings satisfied, Nicholas returns to earth and the comfort of his family, ready to settle in to a peaceful night’s sleep. ...” [read more of the article]
