Framingham Reads Together at the Danforth Museum of Art

During the month of February 2009, the Framingham Public Library organized a community wide "One Book" program bringing together local organizations to offer more than 20 events, including a visit by New York Times Best Selling Author, Dr. Greg Mortenson. This event brought more than 1800 attendees to Memorial Hall.

In support of this first annual Framingham Reads Together, the Danforth Museum of Art is proud to present an exhibition and programming by Susan Roth, co-author of Listen to the Wind, The Story of Dr. Greg and Three Cups of Tea.

Conversations
Saturday, April 25, 10-11 am
with Susan L. Roth, co-author with Greg Mortenson and illustrator of Listen to the Wind, The Story of Dr. Greg and Three Cups of Tea, and with Julia Bergman, Chair, Board of Directors, Central Asia Institute. This children's book vividly recounts Greg Mortenson's journey and decision to build schools in Pakistan. This children's book, now #1 on the New York Times best sellers list. Lecture is free with Museum admission.

Art Workshop for Children: Explore Collage!
Saturday, April 25, 9:45 – 11:15 am
$15 for Members, $20 for Non-Members. Call to register 508.620.0937. Create collages and explore color, patterns, and composition in an exciting workshop! For children ages 5 - 12. The class will also view Susan Roth's beautiful collages from the book, Listen to the Wind, The Story of Dr. Greg and Three Cups of Tea, on display in the Children's Gallery.
