Aunt Harriet's Underground Railroad in the Sky by Faith Ringgold will be on view November 5, 2008 through March 1, 2009.
Local elementary school teachers are invited to attend the Danforth Museum of Art's first Educators’ Evening. Enjoy light refreshments while learning about current and upcoming exhibitions, and their connections to the classroom. Special focus will be placed on upcoming exhibitions featuring Sedrick Huckaby, Faith Ringgold, Jacob Lawrence, and Meta Fuller.

The Director of the Danforth Museum of Art will present an overview of upcoming exhibits, the connections between the artists, and their contribution to the Museum’s educational mission.
Barry Gaither
Since 1969, Edmund Barry Gaither has been Director and Curator of the Museum of the National Center of
Afro-American Artists (NCAAA). He developed the Museum from a concept to an institution celebrating the visual arts heritage of black people worldwide.
Diane Daily
As the Education Programs Manager at the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Diane Daily will share her expertise on applying to grants that support creative learning in schools. Local cultural council grant forms will be available.
